Membership Renewals

The membership renewal cycle is now in full swing with several members already fully renewed and paid up. Your support in sorting this out as soon as possible and within January is appreciated.
All of your details should be pre-populated so all you need to do is login to the portal, go to "renew" and follow the prompts. If you have any questions or if your storage needs are not correct or complete, please do get in touch.
There was an error for the price of monohulls under 11 feet in the renewal e-mail. The system has now been corrected and your renewal should now be correct at £56 rather than £48 if this applies to you.
Boat Park Updates:
All boats coming in are now in and are fully settled into the winter routine. Just a few reminders:
Cruisers: At the end of the day, please make sure that your electrical cable is unplugged and put away to reduce the risk of trip hazards around the boat park.
Dinghies: If you are not regularly sailing, please take your masts down. This is especially important in windy weather (boats have blown over already). It is important that you ensure all halyards are tied back to reduce unnecessary noise for our neighbors.
All: If you have coverings on your boat, please ensure they are well tied down, will shed water and are not noisy while flapping in the wind.
Thank you!

Environmental Impact

The Club is supporting the RYA & British Marine environmental and sustainability initiative 'The Green Blue'  https://thegreenblue.org.uk/
Led by Rear Commodore Jonathan Miles, a working group has been formed to develop and implement an Environmental Action Plan.  We all enjoy getting out on the water and experiencing the beautiful environment around us. We therefore have an important role in helping to protect our marine environment.
We are all responsible for ensuring good environmental practice on our own boats and around the boat park. The Club is responsible for its environmental commitment and policy. Environmental standards will be agreed to include energy and water conservation, waste and recycling, single use products, use of plastics, packaging, cleaning products, paper and printing. Other examples include spill kits and best refueling practice for club boats, use and storage of fuel, lubricants and anti-fouling products.
Jonathan Miles said:
"We need to do more in protecting and sustaining our environment.  With the help of the RYA and The Blue Green initiative, this will provide a good environmental plan for the future of the Club and we look forward to sharing developments with you during 2024.
We all have our part to play and I encourage you to share your ideas, concerns and key environmental issues, email rc@ndyc.org Thank you for your support."
