School Taster Days

NDYC is committed to serving our community and promoting sailing and boating activities.  As part of this we provide 3 days of on water activities to local primary schools from the area.  We use small "Gaffers" and yachts and motor boats to give the youngsters an opportunity to get afloat without getting too wet.

We provide buoyancy aides for all and welcome teachers accompanying the children afloat where appropriate.  To manage the children we meet on either Appledore quay or Instow Quay and transfer children and teachers to the larger boats using our fast ribs.  We have managed groups of up to 60 children but smaller groups are preferable to give longer experiences afloat.
