Study Work Group for RYA Theory Courses for Coastal Skipper and Ocean Yachtmaster

This is a study work group running every Wednesday evening from Jan - March at the club starting 7.00 pm.  Bar will be open 7.00 - 9.00 pm.  The group will be working to assist home study primarily for Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster or Ocean Yacht Master theory.  The evenings are free of charge to all members however if you want the full RYA Certificated course this is available through the club at a discounted price.  The courses are provided by external organisations and certificates are issued by them.  The club offers this collaborative study group to assist home study.  The  course is available by a group booking online through the club and the course materials will all be sent to the club for collection.

All are welcome at the club for the introductory session on Wednesday 4th January where we will discuss the way forward and plan a topic list for short talks that members would like to hear about during the sessions.

All bookings for the RYA courses MUST be made through the links on this site and will be in batches of 5 in any combination of courses. Once a course is full there will be a waiting list of 5 before we place a group booking for the second course and so on.  Please sign up as early as you can, or come to the club on Wednesday evening to discuss with Eric Evans.

Special evening talks will be arranged at the club to complement your home study and also group assistance through discussion is freely available through the club.
