Youth Squad

7th April - 27 October

The idea is to have fun and to develop their interest in sailing. We will also look at guiding your child into racing, however, our
main focus will be on enjoying themselves and building confidence on the water. In our experience not everyone enjoys sailing alone, so we will try to cater for that as
well.

We do require a minimum ability of Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 3 in order to participate in the Youth Squad. If you are not yet Stage 3, please look to Young Pirates. More details will be available there in due course.

We have a number of planned sailing sessions and may do more on/off water events depending
on take up. Typically, they would last no longer than 90 minutes on the water with
changing/rigging time either side. Club boats will be provided (Picos, Fevas [double
handed] Lasers and Catamarans).

The sessions will be led by our Race Coaches or Instructors who are keen to support the
Youth Squad in this social/leisure sailing capacity.

We would like to highlight that for all sessions, a parent/carer must remain on
site for the duration and take responsibility for their child.

Places are currently limited, and staffed according to need. If you find that you are
no longer able to attend a booked session, please advise us ASAP so that your place
can be reallocated.

We look forward to sailing with you!
