Motor boating
There are over 80 Motor Boats in the club. These include RIBs, planing and displacement boats used for many purposes.
It is a great location. Our members enjoy exploring the estuary and coves nearby, visiting Clovelly, Lundy and further afield.
Our members also enjoy waterskiing, wakeboarding and towing leisure toys and donuts. A number of boats are used for fishing and a few private boats sometimes assist the club RIBS and motorboats for both racing and training.
There is a voluntary 7 knot speed limit on most of the water inside a line from Churchfield Slip to Crow Point. The river is used by many types of users, including swimmers, kayakers, paddleboarders and sailors, please moderate your speed and your wake and provide them with as much space as practicable. Members are also asked to give the lifeboats facilities and their moorings a wide berth.
In winter the club boat park offers space, with electricity and water available, to members who prebook and prepay.
DID YOU KNOW the Lundy Island Pass is offered to club members free of charge and entitles a boat owner to anchor at Lundy Island without paying the landing charge. The same pass will also give free overnight mooring in Clovelly harbour.
