Dart 18 TT2 & SOUTH WEST AREA CHAMPIONSHIPS 4th and 5th May
NDYC (EX39 4HW) are looking forward to hosting the second Dart18 TT of 2025 at the stunning seaside location of Instow in North Devon. The TT event racing will take place on Sunday 4th May and Bank Holiday Monday 5th May with 3 races back to back each day. There will be a club race on the Saturday for the early bird Dart18 sailors and NDYC club members. All types of sailing boats included). This is likely to be one of our cup races and depending on weather conditions will be the Bell Buoy (safe water mark out of the estuary) or Estuary race. This will provide sailors a good opportunity to check out the idiosyncrasies of our beautiful estuary prior to Sundays racing!
Accomodation. Free camping for caravans, motor homes, campervans and tents (a bit stony but a special area created) may use the boat park at NDYC. The use of the club facilities will be available all weekend (toilets, showers and fresh water).
For those more discerning sailors there are many local hotels, holiday lets and B&Bs in and around Instow.
Entry fee. £60 double and £50 single handed to include a BBQ Saturday evening and meal Sunday evening.
TT racing. First race of the TT will be planned for 10.30 on Saturday with a briefing around 9.00. Monday racing will be planned for 11.30 am. An all inclusive club race will take part on Saturday for TT competitors and club boats (cats and monohulls),
Local attractions. For the non-sailing members of the family and après racing there are plenty of attractions including the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, NT Arlington Court and cycling on the Tarka Trail to name but a few.
