Youth Learn To Sail Afternoon 1

A great way to kick-start the sailing season and enable your child to try out sailing for an afternoon during the Easter holidays.  

This session is for children with little/no sailing experience, from 5 to ~14 years. Participants must have a family or youth membership.  

Tuesdat session runs 13:30 to 18:00 (approx.).  Cost is £30 per child.  

The rough plan for the afternoon is:

• Arrive in sailing gear
• theory style chat
• rig the boats
• 45 minutes sail
• small break
• 45 minutes sail
• derig boats

Please note: A parent, carer or responsible adult must remain on-site for the duration of the session and take responsibility of their child. 

For more information on what equipment is needed, please see the What to Bring section of https://ndyc.org/sailing/young... Don't forget the buoyancy aid and bike helmet.  Please also bring a coat that the kids can put on to keep warm between sessions.

The session is for up to 8 children - and it will go ahead only if there are 6+ children booked on.
