Power Boat Level 1/2 Joining Instructions

Please arrive at the Clubhouse ..... promptly on Friday 5 April The timings may vary from that shown each day, but this will be confirmed by your instructors.
The course is approximately 55% practical (on the water) and 45% theory (shore based).
You will need to wear waterproof clothes, boots, hat and a personal floatation device of at least 50N . The club can provide a Buoyancy Aid if required. Please be prepared for the temperature to drop on the water. There is no requirement to wear a wetsuit or dry-suit, but you may wear one if you prefer. It is likely to be hot and sunny so please bring water and sun-cream.
The on-water training will take place in the estuary and river area over extended periods of time, and it is therefore important you bring sufficient clothing that is warm and waterproof. Multiple layers are advisable. We suggest you bring a change of clothes in case you get wet on the water.
