Clovelly Cup and Cruiser Rally
Clovelly Cup and Cruiser Rally will take place on 19th July. Boats leaving Instow at appox 0900 and return before 2100.
The Clovelly Cup as part of the Clovelly Maritime Festival. This is a Yacht and Gaffer Racing event organised by NDYC as a significant feature of the festival It usually involves some fairly simple racing in good view of theharbour for all to see. A fun day out for all and well attended when the weather is right. Usually, members sail there on the morning tide trying to get there fairly early to get ashore.
This is an opportunity to take a look at what is there for the event as well as an opportunity for a race briefing. We then head out for the racing before heading back ashore for the prizegiving. After much fun, we sail back to NDYC on the evening tide.
Note - for those wanting to go further this is also the weekend for the Portishead Shanty Festival and the Bristol Harbour Festival.
