RYA Safety Boat Training #1

NDYC SAFETY BOAT COURSE, Monday, 27 - Wednesday, 29th April

Cost: £40 + membership

You must have your RYA Power Boat 2 certificate, and at least a years powerboat experience to complete this course so please bring your PB2 certificate (and an up-to-date log book if you have one).

Please bring the following with you on the day:-

Lunch, water, and snacks. Light refreshments will be available during bar hours. Water and snacks may be taken afloat with you or in the coach boat.
Your logbook if you have one.
Buoyancy Aid if you have one.
Hat (cap or winter warm)
Sunscreen
Towel
Dry change of clothes
Appropriate wet weather footwear, sneakers or water shoes. Shoes must be closed toe and heel.
Wetsuit or dry suit (you will be getting wet and may deploy to the water in the exercises).
Wind breaker or waterproof jacket
Clothes appropriate for the weather of the day. It is much colder on the water so please dress over-warm; we can always put a layer in the coach boat.

On the Water VHF Procedures Power Boat Handling Refresher: MOB Single Hander Capsize recovery Single Hander inversion recovery Double Hander capsize recovery Double Hander Inversion recovery Entrapments Debrief	On the Water Catamarans capsize and inversion Multiple Capsizes and priority Positioning and covering the estuary MOB recovering a person from the water Search Patterns Feedback and Logbooks Debrief
