Event Information

The GP2 at NDYC is part of the UKIDA Grand Prix Circuit of events over the summer throughout Great Britain and includes the SW Championships. Racing will start at an estimated time of 12.00am on Saturday. 3 races are planned for Saturday and Sunday and an early finish will give competitors a more enjoyable trip home.

• Virtual Race Briefing

  Due to Covid we will have a virtual briefing where you can watch it online at your leisure. This will be published the night before racing.

• Boat Storage

  Please leave your boats on the beach - look out for the beach master and it will be easy to spot where to go.

• Camping & Accommodation

  Travellers can arrive on Friday, which is no problem as the club is manned throughout the day and also offers FREE van parking and camping within the boat park subject to availability. Numerous hotels and B & B's are in the area, the closet being the Commodore Hotel www.commodore-instow.co.uk which is on the seafront opposite the sailing area.

• Entertainment

  Our clubhouse has a bar which will be open Friday and Saturday and included in the price of the entry fee will be a sunset barbeque on Saturday evening. The event will be run under COVID guidelines and further information will be provided on this closer to the event.

• Out and About

  There should be a chance to visit the nearby villages of Appledore, go surfing at Westward Ho! or Croyde or visit the beautiful Clovelly Harbour for a pint and crab sandwich.
